Just as Hilary Clinton has thrown her hat into next year's presidential election, the first glimpse at the Carey Mulligan Oscar hopeful "Suffragette" has debuted. Using the hashtag #VotingMatters, Focus Features is getting the buzz out there early and giving the film some gravitas for its inevitable Oscar Campaign.
Academy Award nominee Helena Bonham Carter joins the cast of Mulligan, Ben Whishaw, Brendan Gleeson and Meryl Streep as activist Emmeline Pankhurst.
Watch the trailer below. "Suffragette" premieres in the UK on September 11 and in the US on October 23.
