Veterans from the previous films, including Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayew, and Kenny Baker, will return along with an entirely new cast full of fresh faces.
Disney and Lucasfilms have announced that John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhall Gleeson and Academy Award nominee Max Von Sydow will round out the cast. There hasn't been any announcement as to who they'll be playing.
Disney Chief Bob Iger has announced that the film will be set "30 years after Return of the Jedi".
The film is expected to be released on December 18, 2015.
