Interstellar Trailer

I had the privilege of not only seeing "Godzilla" last night, but the new trailer for Christopher Nolan's upcoming Sci-Fi film, "Interstellar" starring Matthew McConaughey, Jessica Chastain and Anne Hathaway.

The film's plot has been kept tightly under wraps, and though a new trailer sheds a little light on just what will happen, we still don't know a whole lot (which is refreshing; so many films these days give away their plots and best moments in the trailers).

All I can say, is that it is going to be McConaughey heavy; after sweeping the Best Actor race last year, he's back with a new role, continuing his heavily praised career Renaissance.

Also refreshing to see Anne Hathaway in her first role since she took home the Oscar for her role as Fantine in Les Mis. I just hope Nolan's writing for women (ahem... Rachel Dawes from Batman anyone?) has improved with not only Hathaway on board (she was the best thing about The Dark Knight Rises) and Queen Jessica Chastain as well (it's looking like another big year for her). There's also Michael Caine and Ellen Burstyn, who we really don't see in the trailer (Caine has a voice over).

Overall, I'm excited to see Nolan's first not Batman film since "Inception" (which is still amazing). I think this will finally be the film that brings Nolan into the Academy's club after Gravity broke down the Sci-Fi barriers last year. Here's to hoping Interstellar is as good of a film, set to be released in the Oscar friendly month of November, on the 7th.

But for now, here's the trailer:
